Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kabil Director, Endospine Clinic - Cairo
Doctor Mohamed S. Kabil is an active advocate of redefining the practice of spine surgery and the methods of treatment. He trained in general neurosurgery, microneurosurgery, endoscope-assisted neurosurgery, and endoscopic skull base and brain surgery before entirely focusing his practice on minimally invasive and fully endoscopic spine surgeries and procedures.
He obtained his medical degree in 1996 from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University where he presently serves as professor of neurosurgery. His basic neurosurgical training and residency were completed at the same reputable institution, where he earned a Masters and Doctorate degrees in Neurosurgery. Further specialty training and fellowships were then completed in the United States, Germany and France.
Dr. Kabil contributed to numerous publications in international medical journals, is the first co-author of an international medical book named Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, authored book chapters, and gave many national and international presentations on minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgery and spine surgery. He serves as faculty in numerous national and international workshops and hands-on courses for training future endoscopic spine surgeons. He maintains memberships in several medical societies including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the World Federation of Neurological Surgeons (WFNS), the World Endoscopic Spine Society (WESS), and the Egyptian Society of Neurological Surgeons (ESNS).
As he quotes “my personal interest in minimally invasive neurosurgery started in the 2001, at that time an exciting, rapidly evolving new field. Since then, dedicated to mastering these novel evolutionary techniques, I fulfilled a lengthened practice that involved extensive training, academic research and fellowships in Los Angeles, California, Herne, Germany and Bordeaux, France. I thrive to keep the benefits of modern science and technology available for my patients”.
Director's update
I am pleased and honored to declare the launch of our renovated website and social media network. The new facelift is meant to provide our patients upraised standards of contempo, easy and more interactive access to our practice and service. At ECC we believe in a minimally invasive “mindset” and have continued to improve diagnoses of spinal conditions and to devotedly track the rapid technological advancement of the field.
In truth: minimally invasive spine surgery is widely dependant on present-day, novel technology. We strive to not only be at the frontier of this field, but to be able to communicate this knowledge effectively providing media and patient education material. Finally, I would like to compliment and applaud our patients for their kind feedback and trust in our service, this is the utmost factor that attests our progress.
I would like to welcome you once more to our website and share with you our total commitment to providing exceptional, safe patient care and compassionate service to our patients. The development of endoscopic spine surgery and interest in the field has been exponentially growing.
We enjoyed a success in different widened fields of endoscopic spine surgery and procedures, successfully performing many of the most complex cases for Egyptian and international patients. The goal is to precisely pinpoint the cause of the patient’s complaint and to treat it with the most effective, simplest, safest, least aggressive technique.
I am pleased to keep track on the progression of our practice. Not only did endoscopic spine surgery continuously uphold the highest success rates, it has cut recovery time to virtually no hospital stay. The majority of our procedures are currently executed on outpatient basis, with patient returning home within a few hours of the operation. Relief is felt immediately postoperative and total recovery complete within 3-5 days.
Since our kick-off as a devoted practice, fully endoscopic treatment to virtually all kinds of spinal disorders and diseases has been successfully performed on routine basis. This, not only has created more in endoscopic spinal surgery and to help spread its knowledge. A knowledge I am confident that once the benefits of minimally invasive, endoscopic spine surgeries and procedures, your expectations will never be the same.
I am delighted to announce the launch of our website. My personal interest in minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgery started in 2001 with endoscope-assisted neurosurgery. Since then, and through a dedication to minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques, I had extensive fellowships, training and academic work in many cities including Los Angeles, California; Herne, Cologne, Homburg, Germany; Paris and Bordeaux, France.
As a practice completely dedicated to minimally invasive endoscopic spine care, we have set our goal on optimizing each patient’s care and successful return to his/her full lifestyle by serving them with options that may not be available elsewhere. We pioneer minimally invasive treatments for a variety of spine and pain disorders and diseases that affect the spine, spinal cord and the spinal nerves. As revealed on this website, among its other benefits, the minimally invasive techniques are associated with quicker recoveries and less tissue damage and postoperative pain.
